my 2 cents ! This is really unfortunate to hear that you do not have anything much to talk to parents but I appreciate your intent! In one line about my parents ! I have taken care of them for the last 20 years every expense ! Never had problem to talk, we love to talk! regarding your parents ! may be you could think about what good time you had with them and build relationship with them in terms of what are there interest and issues they are facing! That might help you to build some sort of relationship and attachment! Also, remember, no one needs us! especially our kids too ! parents are the only one who love you and need you ! You will know that when they pass away from this world ! Good Luck
