My Parents took a 50" Hisense TV this June 2018. In Delta and Emirates (I have experience) ,they consider upto 55" as one Check-In Bag without any other charges. In India customs, they charge close to 38% . In my Case 320$ was the Bill, they charged 8400INR. TV was in original packing upon departure ,and it got delivered as-in after the travel . Hope this Helps ! Ethihad charges 150$ for TV's and do not consider them as check-in baggage- that I know
