It is pretty similar there. Pre tax options are: - 401k. It allows upto 18k - if you are in HSA, you can save some in health fund too - Home and other stuff is pretty similar to India post Tax, there are lot of options - 529 college fund. state tax free upto 10k for 2 kids - There are many IRAs I guess you can save more than India. India it is just 1lac saving for post tax income !
