Hi, I have some $30K in my NRE. I want to do some short term investment in Fixed deposit. I know that i have to show that amount in FBAR in my next year tax filing, if i have more than $10k in NRE account. Do i need to show the interest earned in my tax filing? If so, under which section and Indian NRE bank provide the statement for interest earned as part of Fixed deposit. Did anyone have experience in this? Please share it.
