Find a reason to argue with him and start a fight. Could be something very small, maybe say something like I'm fed up of you stepping on my grass I spend so much money to mow the lawn and you ruin it every time. Blow it out of proportion for no reason and tell him you don't want him near your house in the future or else you will call cops on him. Now tell your wife how your neighbor was very rude to you during an argument you guys had and you don't want her to talk to him again. Nobody knows your intention to start that fight but you so it will workout fine. The only downside is you wont be friends with your neighbor anymore but its still better than this casual flirting turning into an extra marital affair. Good luck!
