My big question to Mr. Ramkumar and all those supporting this cause, can you help an outsider like me understand what this is all about?
Reading about jallikattu on Wikipedia I learn is the practice where a bull is allowed to run in a crowd who try to stop it by holding onto its hump.

It sounds like animal cruelty to me. Poor bull is terrified and people try jumping on it?? What is all the fuss about showing support for such a primitive ritual which may be part of our culture, but so was Sati and child marriage.

Please anyone care to enlighten me why all the support for this 'cause'?
