Read the below article. They can block 3 year extension, but 1 year extension cannot be blocked.

Yeah, y'all need to calm down. We are from India, not pakistan , north korea or Middle east. If we are asked to go back, we will still be fine, we are neither going to die nor will live in fear. In fact, our children and grand children would thank us for going back because they would grow up in a DEVELOPING economy and not a DIMINISHING economy. Just my thoughts.

Modi is not doing quick fixes, he is setting things right from roots, The governments so far have been only applying patches to DOS. Modi is trying to replace DOS with Linux/MAC OS, that's why there is so much chaos now. So, once things settle down, if we elect someone as visionary as him, we will have a smooth sail just like China is having now.
Yes, there would be problems if 1 million Indians are sent back to India, some will move to other countries, some will be persuade their dreams, some will become entrepreneurs, most will join the Indian labor force. Because of the new entrepreneurs, things will change and things might get favorable, I know I am being optimistic but given that we are not in control of the legislation, its better to look at the alternatives and adapt rather than get scared. Don't forget, a lot of unfavorable news are simply rumors especially the ones in Indian media. Also, this brings trouble to US employers, there are not enough smart/qualified people in US that can replace all of us. They cannot work hard either, so its their loss too.
