Its a free calculator -

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/

There is no one answer fits all.. it all depends on your personal circumstances

Also remember to report your global income - meaning any interest/dividend/any other type of income you made anywhere in the world.. in US, taxes are done on your global income and not just W2.

Great, you you don't trust a validated tax software like turbotax, but instead want confirmation from a bunch of strangers on this forum with no formal tax training?? Wow man, you truly are one of a kind !!

Its called second opinion Junglee. Every person has comfort in different things, his comfort was to ask here. And yes, everyone is one of a kind, if you are not, I pity your life. There is no difference between you and a machine.

Junglee 2, I won't be replying to this, so you can have the satisfaction of the last word, but just take a moment to realize what just happened. I totally get the second opinion part, but in this case he uses a tax software which has been used millions of times and instead wants a second opinion from random people ? Its like going to a neuro surgeon and asking a person on the street if the diagnosis is correct.

Yes, you can ask for a second opinion, but go to another neurosurgeon or do research on medical websites, don't ask an illiterate to validate results of the neuro- surgeon.

Don't use stupid logic of second opinion here. If he had used HR block to check turbo tax results, or gone to a CFA then yes, it would make sense.

You would get around $1,000 federal refund and around $600 state returns
