Passport for new born in india   Passport    03/20/2018 12:31 AM

Hi,

Can anyone guide me how to get a passport for a new born baby in India.
Mother and baby are there in India. I would like them to come here in USA as soon as possible.

1.What all documents will be there?
2.Do I need to be physically present in India to get the passport?
3.some documents where I need to sign and send to India

Following are the documents needed for getting the passport for your baby

1. You need to be physically present at NYC Indian embassy to get the Annexure D, please carry your passport while going there

2. Once you done with step 1, please send the original copy to India by post, scanned copies are not accepted

3. If your name is there in your spouse passport then there is no issues, otherwise you need the marriage certificate

4. Get into our passport seva website and fill the online application and book the appointment

5. You babies birth certificate and your passport address should match, otherwise process is complicated.

Good luck
