| Family friends around Hartford |

It has been 3 years since we moved to CT from India. I’ve traveled quite a bit during my career spanning 15 years, but it was for the first time that we moved as a family. We really like it here, the quality of life, convenience and a lot more. We are very happy in the US but one thing we truly miss is our close friends and family back in India. We have several acquaintances here, some good people we have met but nothing like the good old times. And i don’t think it is easy making new friends at this stage either.
No offense to anyone, but I’ve found several Indians here to be too self centered. They seem to be either insecure or competing with everyone else around, blowing their own trumpet. All they care about is themselves. Now this is no blanket statement and there are many fine people around for sure.
I miss my friends in India badly, wish there were people sharing the same wavelength in this place too. If anyone feels the same way I do, please drop a line on my email - rsm.emailme (at) gmail.com or leave your email as a response. Will be great to create a good group in the area.
